Pickens County Shelter of Hope is a project under Tracy and Sunshine Gantt Ministries. Pastor Tracy and First Lady Sunshine Gantt are the founders of Tracy & Sunshine Gantt Ministries. With this ministry, they conduct many outreach activities, such as feeding and clothing the homeless or poverty-stricken. However, there was one major issue they were fighting for several years to make happen. The issue was a need for an emergency homeless shelter for Pickens County SC. In January of 2018, there was a meeting of concerned citizens from Pickens County. Out of this meeting, a team of fifteen people from Pickens County was formed. Over the years, several people from their team passed away, but the Gantts stayed on their mission. In 2020, God connected the dots and MANY people poured into their vision. Pickens County Shelter Of Hope opened its doors in April 2020; in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The FIRST and ONLY emergency homeless shelter for Pickens County SC finally opened!
